Hal Lindsey's July 26th Program Preview -- Bible Study on Revelation 20: Millennial Kingdom and Various Resurrections

Revelation 20 shows the fulfillment of some of the most thrilling passages in the Bible! And that's what we will be looking at on this week's Hal Lindsey Presents.

Chapter 20 tells us that the coming Kingdom of Christ is a millennial Kingdom. It will last a thousand years. That's information not given earlier in scripture. But there is a tremendous amount of information throughout the Bible about this Kingdom. These passages stir our hearts with hope and wonder.

Isaiah 11:6-8 says, "And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the kid, And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little boy will lead them. Also the cow and the bear will graze; Their young will lie down together; And the lion will eat straw like the ox. And the nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den."

On this week's program, we will also look at various resurrections. Revelation 20 talks about the "first resurrection." Did you ever wonder what the Bible means by that? The amazing thing is that the first resurrection has already begun. It started with Jesus and His resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:20 says, "Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep."

Other people had been were brought back from the dead before the resurrection of Jesus. But they all eventually died. They were not yet given eternal, resurrection bodies. Jesus was the first to receive that immortal body. Soon, He's going to give a shout, and the dead in Christ will rise. Then, a blink of an eye later, the ones in Christ still alive will be instantly transformed from mortal to immortal. And all of us together will rise to meet the Lord in the air!

But that will not end the first resurrection. That was phase 2, and Jesus rising from the dead represents phase 1. Two more phases of the first resurrection will follow. On this week's program, we will see what the books of Job, Daniel, and Revelation say about these events.
