Interesting video from a segment on "GPS," Fareed Zakaria's TV program, that was broadcast today on CNN. It shows what America could learn from other countries about rehabilitating prisoners rather than locking them up for life.

He's right! But Norway and Denmark are not the solution. The "normalization" also extends to crimes. Prostitution and homosexuality are legal in those countries. Suicide is rampant.
It's crazy that 1 in 40 people in America have committed a felony. Over 90 % are drug related. I googled "how many laws are on the books" and my answer was "no body knows b/c no one has taken the time to figure it out". Some claim that the average citizen commits 3 felonies a day without even knowing it.
Our Justice System is broken.
Justice Kennedy did not mention that our prison systems are completely a conflict of interest to society. Many Judges, Congressmen & other government officals own stocks in the industry. The Judges w/ stock only increase their holdings with more prisoners & activity of shuffling them around. There was a law that we tried to get passed 2 years ago that would release 1st time non-violent offenders over age 55. Congress did not pass it. I wonder why? It could be that they lose on their stocks.

I know you some of you guys don't support Kent Hovind much here, but you are wrong. His prison sentence is under title 1021 drug laws! He's never taken any drugs in his life. What happened to him, could happen to any of us. After 9 years in 21 different prisons, he is now being re-tried a second time in another trial for trying to fight his first trial (in which he did not give a defense). The Judge who tried him said his IRS crimes were worse than rape. 8 people signed sworn testimonies of what she said.
This same judge tried to stop kids from praying during school games! Congress stepped in and stopped her! The court transcripts which Hovind ordered after the trial, took over 20 months to reach him. They were altered! This alone disqualifies that trial, and certainly the judge, but SHE is retrying him.
In this last trial, They said it was like the Judge was the one telling the prosecution what to ask the witnesses. At one point, the prosecution just sat down, while the judge did most of the questioning!

I think he is being singled out b/c he is a truther (exposing the corruption).

He was tried last month and the jury could not come to a decision. She(the Judge) is retrying him on May 18th (I think). These last charges could give him 10 to 100 more years in prison! We need to pray for these people (yes, the judge! God can change her heart!). I will post a link with more info.
It's time we stand up for our brother in Christ.

Shirley:

You probably know this already, but I just learned that federal prosecutors have dropped the remaining criminal charges against Kent Hovind. Here's a link to the article, if you want to read it: http://christiannews.net/2015/05/17/gov ... nt-hovind/.
